nuclear medicine study

Method of study
It is the medical specialty that performs diagnostic imaging, blood tests and treatments using radioisotopes. These are compounds that emit a small amount of radiation, which added to allow bodies to study their form and function. These radiations are captured by devices called a gamma camera. The radioactive signal is then processed into images that allow viewing the body under study.

Test Duration
Tests normally last between 30 and 60 minutes. Dose is injected intravenously product, this has no effect, nor prevent him from doing a normal life.
